Retour (historique)

This peak is located in the Annapurna region on the trekking path around the Annapurna above the village of Pisang and yak pastures which is one of the most attractive peaks, going to its conquest for endurance , Technical capabilities and a high mountain experience to reach the top.

It is reached by a uniform slope of snow and ice to the summit pyramid.

This peak is considered an easy climbing peak in Nepal. To get to the village of Pisang you have to take a path without great difficulty, along a long wall with prayer wheels.

You can also make a detour to the Upper Pisang to discover a typical Gurung village and its former monastery.

To reach the village base camp, the path climbs through sparse woods and pastures to a Kharka at 4380 meters, considered the best place to set up the base camp. The upper camp is located at 5400 meters on a shoulder of the South-West Ridge. The ridge of snow is well marked, the slope is quite steep towards the summit but with no particular difficulty. The descent is by the same way. A German expedition made the first ascent of this peak in 1955.
