Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

Day 2 - Visit of Kathmandu and Patan

Day 3 - Kathmandu - Syabrubensi (1460 m):

Departure by bus from Kathmandu early in the morning that passes Trishuli, a small town on the road. The road runs through the hills to Shyabrubensi, a small shopping center in the area, located near the Trishuli River. Overnight in Shyabrubensi. 6 hours by bus.  

Day 4 - Shyabrubensi - Lama Hotel (2410 m):

We will begin to follow a small valley. The trail follows a river called Langtang Khola to the east of the valley. An easy walk along the river through the pine forest up to Bamboo, small square with a few houses in the middle of the bamboo forest. It is possible to see monkeys during walking. Steep climb up to Lama Hotel. 5 1/2 hours of walking.

Day 5 - Lama Hotel - Langtang (3330 m):

An easy climb through the forest of pines and rhododendrons along the river Langtang Khola until Ghoratabela, a place for horses to 2992 m. A magnificent view of the Langtang Himal. A military post to cross to continue to the village of Langtang, located at the foot of Langtang Himal, main village whose inhabitants are Bhotiyas, local ethnic group. 5 1/2 hours of walking.

Day 6 - Langtang - Kyanjing Gumpa (3730 m):

An easy climb with a panoramic view of the Langtang Langtang-Lirung, Langsisa Ganjela and left the valley. By continuing the vegetation becomes scarce. A gradual ascent to Kyanjing Gumpa, a beautiful place in the heart of the mountains with many Yaks. As a result, locals make Yak cheese. There is also a monastery. 3 to 3 1/2 hours of walking.

Day 7 - Rest in Kyanjing Gumpa for acclimatization:

Possibility of a trip to Cherkuri to a beautiful viewpoint at 4984 m on the summits of the region or follow the valley a little further up to 4000 m along from the river. Then back to Kyanjing Gumpa. Overnight in Kyanjing. Duration of the walk according to the choice of the itinerary.  

Day 8 - Kyanjinggumpa - base camp (4100 m):

The route heads south of the valley through the Langtang Khola amount from the beginning through a small forest to reach the base camp Nayakhanga.

Day 9 - Rest at base camp (4100 m) : Rest and preparation for the summit.

Day 10 - Base camp - top camp (5000 m): slow ascent on the stony path with magnificent views of Langtang and Lansisa - ri to the upper camp.

Day 11 - Senior Camp - Peak Summit - Base Camp:

We start early in the morning to attack the summit by the northeast across the northern ridge face. An excellent view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, including Sisapangpa (More than 8000 m) and several other Tibetan mountains from the top. Then back down to base camp. 11 hours of walking.

Day 12 - Base Camp - Kaldorang Kharka:   

Steep climb to the Col de Ganjela which is also difficult for holders. Descent after the pass then towards the valley Helambu. A steep descent to a Kharka where there is a small lake. 7 - 7 1/2 hours walking.

Day 13 - Kaldorang - Gothkharka:   

The trail goes up and down most of the time with a view of Baudha Himal, Gaurishankar, Nambur and other peaks of the Rollwalling region, east side of the valley. We will continue to Gothkharka. 7 hours of walking.

Day 14- Gothkharka - Tarkeghyang:    

The trail goes up and down until Amayangri, a famous Buddhist place for the inhabitants of Helambu. There is an important stupa to visit. Steep descent to Tarkeghyang, a main village of Helambu with an important monastery to visit. 6 1/2 hours walking.

Day 15 - Tarkeghyang - Kakani (1996 m):

Easy walk into a small forest to Ghangule, a small village with a Sherpa Buddhist monastery. Crossing a pine forest after the village to continue to Sermathang (2590 m), the last village of Sherpas with 2 important monasteries. Beautiful view of Baudha Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shanker and others. We will then have an easy walk through a damp forest to Kakani, a small village with a few houses on the crest of the hill. 6 1/2 hours walking.

Day 16 - Kakani - Milamchepul Bazaar-Kathamndu:

The continuous descent and one begins to see culturally different people for the most part Hindus. The region is becoming richer because the agriculture and education of the population are well developed. We will descend without effort to the bottom of the valley, where there is a bridge to cross before arriving at Milamchipul Bazar (870 m). We will have lunch here and take the bus to Kathmandu. 3 to 3 1/2 hours of walking.

Day 17 - Visit in Bhaktapur (an ancient city of Kathmandu)

Day 18 - Transfer to the airport

 Naya Kanga (Ganjela Chuli)  “5844 m” (Langtang area)


Retour (historique)

Formerly known as Ganja La Chuli, Naya Kanga (5844 m) stands to the west of Ganja La, it is a known mountain but difficult to climb. The normal way of climbing is through the ridge in the snow to the northeast.

We do not know who conquered this first summit. The most important reward of climbing Naya Kanga is the spectacular view of the mountains in or near Tibet.
