Day 01: Arrive and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu

Day 02: Visit of Kathmandu and Patan

Day 03: Kathmandu - Gorkha (1060m)

Transport booked a local bus or early morning bus from Kathmandu to Gorkha in 5 1/2 hours away, the region of origin of the legendary Gorkha soldiers, a small historic town. We will climb up to Gorkha Durbar, an ancient palace where Nepal began to be unified as we visit. The walk is easy to camp with an exceptional panorama of the Central Himalayas with the Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. 1 1/2 hour walk after the bus.

Day 04: Gorkha - Arukul (775m):

Steep descent by Nareshwor and Nayasangu, continuing to the village with a majority of Muslims and easy through the rice fields to the river Daraundi. We will continue easily to Arukul, a small village located near the rice fields after crossing this river. 6 1/2 hours walking

Day 05: Arukol - Mandre (1820m):

We will walk on the flat along the river to Daraundi Baluwa across rice fields and villages. Lunch. We leave the Daraundi River behind us to reach the village of Baluwa which has a school. 7 hours of walking.

Day 06: Mandre - Laprak (1920m):

The trail continues to rise, if the weather is nice, there is a view from the top of Buddha Himal. Steep climbs up to Barpak a large village of Gurungs, the roofs of the houses are stone. Climb for an hour then a stop for lunch. Continue the ascent to a small Kharka, a kind of summer pasture, then descend for about one to an hour and a half to Lprak, another large village of Gurungs whose roofs are wooden dwellings. There is also a school and a dispensary in the middle of the village. 7 hours of walking. Camping

Day 07: Laprak - Khorla Bensi (970m):

A steep descent to a small stream and a bridge to cross. Then pass through a grassy slope and then walk into a small forest of rhododendrons with a view of Budhi Gandaki down the valley. A descent through the small village of Khorla Guan to Khorlabensi, a small commercial town located near the Budhi Gandaki River and Mimrung Khola. 6 1/2 hours walking.

Day 08: Khorlabensi - Jagat (1410m):

From here we begin to walk the traditional path of the Tour of Manaslu. The route follows the Budhi Gandaki River, a long and important river in the region. During this easy walk to Dovan we will see a source of hot water. In Dovan there are some tea shops and you can easily continue to Jagat, a place located in the narrow valley of Budhi Gandaki. 6 hours of walking

Day 09: Jaga t - Pewa (1820m):

The trail continues through the Budhi Gandaki. It is an easy walk to Salleri and Shirdibas, the trail will cross the river on the right side, then a little climb up to Phillime, a central village, where there is a telephone, a dispensary and a school. Lunch. Easy drive then climb up the grassy slope on the right side of the river. We will continue to Eklibhatt. Then we leave the hiking trail of the Tsum valley for a trail that crosses the river on the left side. We cross the pine forest to Pewa, a small commercial place with 2 houses. 6 1/2 hours walking.

Day 10: Pewa - Namrung (2660m):

The first part of the trail is uphill and then downhill. You will cross the river once or twice with suspended bridges. We continue through the immense birch forest in a narrow valley and then climb along the river to Namrung, a small village Bhotiyas, the local ethnic group of the region. 4 hours of walking.

Day 11: Namrung - Shyala Kharka (3520m):

We will continue to follow Budhi Gandaki the walking in the forest of rhododendrons. It will be a slight climb by Ligaun and Syogaun where we find delicious apples cultivated by the inhabitants. We will have a superb view of Shyala Himal on the right side. On walking we will see Mount Manaslu (8163 m) on the left then we continue towards the village of Lho with a stupa very nicely decorated. Lunch. Descend along a small stream that we cross and then climb up lightly to Shyala Kharka in the birch forest with a breathtaking view of Manaslu, Manaslu North, Sringi Himal, Shyala Himal. 5 hours of walking.

Day 12: Shyalakharka - Pungen Glacier (4742m) - Samagaun (3530m):

Then the valley becomes wider, the climb begins to the north of the valley to Pungen glacier, southern glacier Manaslu Himal. We will continue along the edge of the glacier to the monastery dedicated to Milarepa and where there are some caves where Milarepa was doing meditation. A beautiful view of Manaslu and Sringi Himal, then downhill to rejoin the usual trail. It will be easy until Samagaun, one of the main villages of the Bhotiyas. Superb view of Manaslu and other peaks too. 6 hours of walking.

Day 13: Samagaun - Samdo (3690m):

The landscape becomes desert and vegetation is scarce. Walking is easy along the Budhi Gandaki where there is an unforgettable view of the Samdo peak just in front. We will continue the trail and cross the river then small climb to the right until Samdo, the last village of the region whose houses have flat roofs. The population lives on livestock, a little agriculture and seasonal migrations. Beautiful panoramic view of Manaslu, Samdo Peak, Larke Himal. 3 1/2 hours of walking ..

Day 14: Rest at Samdo for acclimatization before continuing and visit Samdo.

Day 15: Samdo - Dharamsala (4470m):

An easy walk to the river Budhi Gandaki we leave to go up slightly and after crossing the river, great views of Himal Larke and the summit of Manaslu and Samdo left. Continue to Dharamsala, a wilderness sheltered before the pass. 3 1/2 hours of walking ..

Day 16: Dharamsala - Base Camp:   

Easy climb effortlessly around the glacier where the water is blue. Camp on the glacier.

Day 17: Base Camp - Camp 1 : Achieved by the snowy north flank to camp 1

Days 18-19: Days of climbing.

We continue towards the valley to the west through the glacier where we set up our camp to prepare the ascent, a beautiful view of Manaslu, Peak 29, Samdo pic, Himlung Himal, and the Annapurna ridge south of Mountain peak. Then back down to the base camp.

Day 20: Base Camp - Larke Glacier - Bhimthang:

The trail goes through the moraine to Larke Pass (5016 m). There is an impressive view of Himlung Himal, Larke Himal, Gyajungkang, Pari Himal and the Annapurnas massif west of the pass. The descent will be steep after the pass to the Himlung glacier. Lunch then easy descent to Bhimthang. 7 1/2 hours of walking.

Day 21: Bhimthang - Dharapani (1860m):

We are in the Annapurna region. A walk along the river Dudh Khola with a superb view of Manaslu and peak 29 towards the north side. We descend through the immense pine forests to Tilji, Gurung village. Continue downhill to Dharapani, a village near the Marshyangdy River where you can join the classic Annapurna tour. 7 hours of walking

Day 22: Dharapani-Jagat (1420m):

We will follow the path opposite the turn of Annapurna, then down along the Marshyangdi River by Tal, last village in the Manang region. We will go down to Chamje, then walk easily to Jagat, where there are Tamangs and Gurungs. 6 hours of walking.

Day 23: Jagat - Kathmandu:

An easy descent to Syange for 1 hour and a half along the Marshyangdi River where we will take the bus to Besishar and Kathmandu. 6 1/2 hours by bus

Day 24: Visit Bhaktapur  An ancient city of Kathmandu valley.

Day 25: Transfer to the airport  by a private transport

 Mt. Larkya Peak “6249 m” (Manaslu area)
